How it works
- Open a request and tell us what needs moving - the domains, the websites, and the mailboxes.
- We look at what is there and confirm the plan and the timing with you.
- We copy everything across and get it working on our platform.
- You check it before anything changes for your visitors.
- We agree a switch-over time and point the domain at us.
- We stay with it afterwards while DNS settles.
What we need from you
- Access to the current hosting - sent through the secure form, never in a ticket
- Access to the domain registrar, or your agreement to make the nameserver change yourself
- A list of mailboxes that must come across, with their contents
- Anything unusual: a payment gateway, a booking system, a third-party integration
What we need to know
Tell us if there is a time that must be avoided - a campaign launch, a busy trading day, an event. Migrations are planned around your business, not ours.
Downtime
The aim is none. Because the site is working here before the domain moves, the switch is a DNS change rather than a rebuild. During DNS propagation some visitors briefly see the old site, which is why we keep the old one running until it has settled.
