Sometimes you may need to add or update DNS records to connect your domain to external services (such as email providers, verification tools, or third-party platforms).
Don’t worry - you don’t need to understand everything. Just follow the steps below.
Before You Start
Make sure:
- Your domain is using the correct nameservers
- You have the DNS details provided by the service you’re connecting to
This usually includes a record type, name, and value.
Step 1: Log In to Your Client Area
- Log in to your Little Moo Hosting account
- Go to your Domains or Services section
- Select your domain
Step 2: Open DNS Management
Look for an option such as:
- DNS Management
- Zone Editor
Click to open your DNS settings.
Step 3: Add or Edit a Record
To add a new one:
- Click Add Record
- Choose the record type (e.g. A, MX, CNAME)
- Enter the details provided to you
- Save the record
To edit an existing record:
- Find the record
- Click Edit
- Update the details
- Save your changes
Common Record Types (Simple Guide)
- A Record → Points your domain to a server (website)
- MX Record → Controls where your email is delivered
- CNAME Record → Links one domain name to another
After Making Changes
DNS changes are not instant:
- Most updates happen within a few hours
- In some cases, it can take up to 24 hours

Only change DNS records if you’ve been given specific instructions.
